The City of Mount Clemens is proud to have over 100 volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to the City’s boards, committees and commissions. The function and responsibility of each board, committee and commission varies, but their work to improve City services, beautify the City and maintain the City’s history benefits all residents.

How to Apply

Interested in serving on one of our boards or committees? View the current openings below, complete the application, and submit it to the City Clerk’s office. If you have any questions, please contact the City Clerk for more information.

Residents who are interested in serving on a board that currently has no vacancies, may submit their application to be considered for future openings. The city will retain all applications for a period of two years.

Directory of Boards and Committees

Study and develop plans for the beautification of streets, alleys, yards, lots, etc.; study and develop plans for improving the health, satiation, safety and cleanliness of the City; encourage and recommend the placing and planting of trees, flowers, etc.; study and evaluate information of community improvements and to make recommendations; sponsor, plan, promote and carry out campaign activities for the restoration, preservation and enhancement of the beauty of the City. Meets the First Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
