Strong neighborhoods are the foundation of a safe, connected, and welcoming Mount Clemens. The City encourages residents to get involved through programs like Neighborhood Watch, community events, and block parties that bring people together and build pride in where we live. From organizing a cleanup to hosting a gathering with neighbors, these efforts strengthen our sense of community and help keep Mount Clemens a vibrant place to call home.
Hosting a Block Party
Block parties are a fun way to meet your neighbors, build community, and even work together on activities like clean-ups or helping those in need. The City encourages residents to host block parties and offers a free permit process for events on local residential streets.
To close a street, submit a Block Party Permit Application to the Community Development Department with signatures from at least 51% of affected homeowners. Once approved, the City will deliver barricades on Friday and pick them up on Monday.
